English/Language Arts: Hello HRS families. In preparation for presentations, students have been learning about, and practicing, PVLEGS: poise, voice, life, eye contact, gestures, and speed. These elements of public speaking are crucial when conducting a presentation. To practice this, students will complete a practice presentation with a small group. We started this last week, and will finish on Monday. Their peers will assess them on PVLEGS. Following this, we will begin Genius Hour presentations. I will post a rubric to Google Classroom that will be used to grade student presentations, as well as their research from the Genius Hour unit. If we have time, students will then write letters to their 6th grade teachers. Thanks, and have a great weekend.

Have a great weekend!
